Beyond Proud!
We’d like to bring your attention to one of our supporters who has some of her art being shown in an exhibition in the Turner Contemporary in Margate. Eliana, whose artistic name is Arco, has a piece entitled “Adapt—-The Way to Canterbury” as part of the Portfolio X Windmill Community Gardens Summer Exhibition. The exhibition can be found on the Ground Floor of the gallery. Two Trustees from Global Challenge went to see her work and were beyond proud! Last year Arco entered a design and had her artwork chosen to be on one of our Global Challenge Christmas cards in 2023.
About the Exhibition.
‘Portfolio’ is a platform for young people living in Kent and Medway to get their art and ideas out in the world. Each year ‘Portfolio’ collaborate with a local organisation to set the brief and select work to be shown as part of our summer exhibition. This year they have joined up with Windmill Community Gardens, a local community group, who seek to create a safe and sustainable environment for people and nature work harmoniously together by utilising what is available, sharing resources and reusing materials. It’s free to enter and pieces are shown as part of a group show for three months and seen by over 80,000 people!
The exhibition at Turner Contemporary, Rendezvous, Margate, CT9 1HG, runs until Sunday 1st September 2024.
