Redressing the Balance

Epilepsy

Rose was four and a half and epileptic when Trustees first met her in 2011.

The effects of the drugs she needs to take made her very weak. She had speech problems and difficulty supporting herself and walking. Her father, Richard, is very committed to do his best for her and is supported by our co-ordinator, Billy. We were told during our 2012 visit that she had improved, though parents did not always manage to get her to physiotherapy appointments.

Billy reports in early 2014, that Rose continues to improve. She is able to sit in her special chair without difficulty and stand using her supports, she is also continuing with physiotherapy. All aids are supplied by Global Challenge.
