Praise for Robert, the Headteacher at Crossroads School

Global Challenge is really grateful to the work of Robert, the Headteacher of the school we support in Soroti, who is striving to move the school forward. This term, he has held a parents’ meeting to make parents aware of the new national curriculum in Uganda; including information about grading and how parents can support their children in preparing for their exams. Robert has also appointed staff representatives in the newly set up parent/teacher association. He has overseen the delivery and instalment of computer equipment for the school, funded by Global Challenge.

We are pleased to announce that Robert’s wife contacted Abraham, our project coordinator and local representative in Uganda, to report that Robert has had his operation on his jaw (mid-September 2022). Although the operation lasted several hours, it was successful and Robert would be spending a few days in hospital to aid his recovery.
