John Rew, Chairman, Charity Trustees and Revd Dr Stephen Cave arrived in Soroti on Wed June 22nd for an 9 day visit.

Charity Coordinator, Pastor Abraham Okurut  and SpGlobal Challenge coordinator, Pastor Abraham, collects Junior from schoolecial Needs Coordinator, Billy Outeke updated John and Stephen on the charity’s work and discussed how Global Challenge could best support their work to make a real difference to the lives of children, some with Special Needs, whose families are very poor.

Separate meetings were held with Crossroads Head, Robert Oluka, Halcyon Head, Marcel Adunya, and representatives from PEAS. (promoting equality in African Schools) have opened over 20 secondary schools with Ugandan government help.

John and Stephen met staff at the school, board members and also elders from Rockview whose land the school is built on.

A visit was made to the partly completed Playground at Ocholoi, a Special Needs initiative, and also to  Richard’s model pig farm.
