Redressing the Balance

Teachers and Staff

Regular monthly sponsorship enables us to pay for the teachers and support staff at the school. More sponsorship is needed to enable us to pay the Teachers a fair wage, and contribute to their Pension scheme.

We are very fortunate to have a loyal and committed group of teachers. They are led by Headmaster Edward Esegu and supported by Deputy Head, Deborah Emenitai and Director of Studies, Lilian Achiro. The school bursar is Bursar Titus Naikara.

In addition to the above full time teachers, there are 12 part time teachers and a full time laboratory/library assistant.

Below are Deputy Head, Deborah, talking to Trustee Anne Cave,  and Director of Studies, Lillian in the library.

There are also support staff looking after security, catering, cleaning and secretarial.

The night watchman is called Augustine. He works long hours, both night and day.

When he needs a little rest, he puts his bedding into a spare classroom. The school is hoping to provide him with a little shelter by the school gates.  A delightful character, he gave the Trustees a visitors’ book to sign out when we left, but we had never signed in!!
