Redressing the Balance

Enock runs 200km in 30 days

A message from Enock:

I recently got inspired by a friend (Kathryn Morgan) with her initiative to help children in need in Uganda through Queens Road Baptist Church. When my parents settled in Uganda after the Rwandan genocide, my father met my mum in Uganda with whom they managed to raise seven of us.

Having had to walk miles each day for school, when Kathryn informed me that Queens Road Baptist Church was helping children in Soroti with school amenities and other services this really touched me. Since Uganda is my home, I knew I had to contribute to this cause.

I have always wanted to give back to help my home community. I saw this as the best opportunity to raise money through a charity run of 200 kilometres in 30 days. When I and Kathryn decided to go ahead, she was willing to refer me to a few sponsors. We also realised that Global challenge charity would deliver our donation direct to our intended beneficiaries.

We are aiming to contribute as much money as possible as God may enable us for this cause. I will be a single runner so a target minimum of £500 for this run. We will be grateful for any contribution from whoever will be kind enough to contribute towards this cause.

Enock hopes to start his run soon and you can sponsor him by going to:

Enock will record each section of his run and report back to Global Challenge HQ with his progress.

We can’t wait!

Support from our Trustees:

“Good for him!” Tim

“Such a great effort – I will cheer him on rather than joining in!!!” Angela
