Girls Washrooms
Lack of proper washing and personal hygiene facilities are often the reason why girls are absent from schools throughout Uganda.
Global Challenge addressed this problem in 2014.
Water is supplied from the water harvesting system and a deep pit is provided with small access point for personal hygiene disposal.
Young people at QRBC raised £475 for improvements by organising a cake sale, poverty lunch and Easter extravaganza. Holy Trinity and Upton primary schools also provided funding. The total cost was in excess of £2,000.
