Introducing Anna Grace

We’d like to introduce you to Anna Grace who was brought to our attention by our representatives in Soroti, Uganda. Anna Grace unfortunately caught polio because her parents could not afford the polio vaccination. Through fundraising, Global challenge is not only able to support Anna Grace to go to school but also to support her family. The family has been given a chicken that can produce eggs and possibly be bred to raise chickens for market.

To help Anna go to school, Global Challenge were able to send funds to buy a wheelchair. Unfortunately, children grow, and we are going to have to provide a new chair! Thanks to our amazing Special Needs Coordinator in Uganda, Billy, this should not be a problem. Billy has found a scheme to purchase good, reasonably priced, second-hand wheelchairs that can be adapted for purpose.
