The pupils at Crossroads Secondary School have been using their sewing skills to make reusable sanitary pads. The lack of affordable sanitary products is a very common challenge and can lead to school absenteeism, a key barrier to academic performance, and can even lead to school dropout!
Lillian is the Director of Studies at Crossroads Secondary School. Lillian has been teaching at the school since 2007, teaching Geography and Religious Education.
Peter has sent us a heartfelt thank you message. Peter has been sponsored by supporters of Global Challenge to continue his studies into the senior 5 and 6 years in education in Uganda.
Katy gave the Global Challenge January Update during the church service at Queens Road Baptist Church on the 28th of the month.
At the end of 2023, we had a generous donation where the donor specifically requested that the money should go to Crossroads School.
Our light-hearted potted history talk all about pantomime, “Oh Yes It Is!” by the amazing Linda McCann, was a roaring success!
The December Wellbeing Pamper Day raised another £80 towards teacher’s salaries at Crossroads School in Uganda. All the Christmas cards were sold and the card competition even inspired the youth church group at Queens Road Baptist Church to help raise vital funds by donating some of their proceeds from a refreshment sale they held after a Sunday Service.

Students in Senior One class and Senior Two class went to Kiganadani market for a geography field study. The group facilitator took the learners through the main objectives of their study before the students commenced their studies of the market.
