Global Challenge are helping to fund operations that give children back their mobility when suffering from the muscle disorder called Gluteal Fibrosis.
Our Special needs Coordinator, Billy Outeke has sent us a SWOT ANALYSIS FOR GC (Global Challenge) – SPECIAL NEEDS PROJECT for the period January 2022 to December 2023.
Our brilliant fundraisers and supporters at Cherry Tree Education in Margate completed an auction of promises at the end of their school year in July 2023.
Billy, our Special Needs Coordinator riding his trusty motorbike, along with our Ugandan volunteers, are able to scour the Soroti district to identify children in need of life-changing surgery.
Billy is working on carrying out two research projects:
‘’IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF GLOBAL CHALLENGE/SPECIAL NEEDS PROJECT ON THE COMMUNITIES AROUND SOROTI DISTRICT”
and
‘’PERCEPTION OF THE COMMUNITIES IN SOROTI DISTRICT ON CHILD SAFETY’’
These two research topics will help steer a clear way forward as the Special Needs Project’s activities grow, to improve family livelihoods and child safety, which are key areas of the vision of Global Challenge.
Saturday, April 23rd saw the return of the Invicta Wind Orchestra for a St. George’s day Concert. The concert was held at Queens Road Baptist Church in Broadstairs.
Billy Outeke, our Special Needs local representative in Uganda, has been keeping us in touch with the children with special needs, despite the challenges the global pandemic has thrust upon us all!
