Barn Dance Event
Junior Deeper, the youth group from Queens Road Baptist Church in Broadstairs, are hosting a Barn Dance as part of their ‘Grow your £1 Challenge’ with Global Challenge. The Barn Dance features a “live” caller who “calls” out the dance manoeuvres which the dancers then execute.
Nearly 40 youngsters from the Junior Deeper Group (children aged 7- 11 years old) and the Youth Group (school year 6 and above) at Queens Road have been doing the “Grow Your £1.00 Challenge”. Each child/youth have been given £1.00 to take away and “GROW”.
The Barn Dance takes place on Saturday 18th May, 5-7pm in the church auditorium. The entry fee will be £2.50 per person, pay on arrival. There will be food and craft stalls selling items made by the young people, all proceeds raised will be donated to Global challenge.
Get ready to “Do-Si-Do”, “Chasse”, “Strip the Willow” and “Star to the Right” … amongst other moves!
