Katy Visits Soroti

Katy is our newest trustee in the UK and has not visited our partners in Uganda before. This August 2023, Katy, two of her gorgeous children, Tim and Joanna, and family friend, Enock, are currently visiting Soroti! They spent Wednesday morning at Crossroads. They met the teachers, attended a staff meeting and saw the new kitchen chimney that Global Challenge had funded with some of the money Enock raised with his “200km Run in 30 days” challenge back in June/July 2021. Betty, the cook, cooked them a delicious lunch and was thrilled to receive some oven gloves as a gift! They were shown around the school and given a Maths lesson by two students. They signed a visitors book and listened to Pastor Abraham’s testimony. They also met the pastor of Rock View Baptist Church who was just going to a burial (a relative of his wife who had epilepsy, had gone to fetch water alone and had drowned.) Katy and her fellow travellers were able to gift the pillowcase dresses and some of the jumpers, made by supporters in the UK, to the staff – they were very grateful!
