Local Fundraisers Help Global Challenge
Over the last month, Global Challenge have been blessed by a torrent of organisations, groups and individuals in Thanet that have been generously raising funds in the build up to the visit to Soroti. The biggest contributors have been the local schools whose staff and children organised and participated in a wide range of fundraising events that have been helping our charity.
In an event organised by staff at St. Anthony’s School, a number of other local schools, including Laleham Gap, joined together to raise over £200 through a five-a-side tournament.
Virtual Schools Kent also hosted a quiz night at St George’s Church of England School in Broadstairs. These funds will support the new vision for Crossroads School, Soroti.
In addition, a number of individual donations were made by staff at Holy Trinity and St John’s CEP, Margate which are going to support the School for the Deaf in Ngora.
Global Challenge would like to thank everyone who has been helping us with our vision for their generous support. Your energy and your giving is blesses us and helps ‘redressing the balance’.
