New Head for Crossroads
Outgoing Head Edward Esegu retired at the end of the 2015 School Year on health grounds. GC thanks him for his dedication to the school over many years.
The School Board academic committee, lead by Halcyon school Head, Marcel Adunya, advertised the position on local radio. They interviewed shortlisted candidates on Monday Jan 18th and have appointed Robert Dismos Oluka.
He commenced work on Feb 1st and has had meetings with staff to discuss targets, academic improvement and appraisals.
Due to Ugandan elections, the school term started on Monday Feb 22nd
Mr Oluka was Head Teacher at Soroti Municipal Secondary School from 2008-2014 and Deputy Head before that. He obtained a BA at the Islamic University in Uganda in 2003 and is a qualified Teacher. He has many other qualifications.
GC warmly welcomes this appointment which will mark the start of an exciting period for the school as it works together with the Board for the benefit of the 400 children who attend.
