On Saturday, 7th December 2024, 11am – 4pm, is the Global Challenge Christmas Craft Fair. We have 20 stalls signed up, with a variety of handmade goods plus crafts made by a local special needs school.
On Sunday 10 November we will be hearing all about the latest Global Challenge trustee visit to Uganda.
From 1pm you can enjoy an African meal of Rice, beans or chicken.
The August haircare event held at Jill K’s Hair Studio in Ramsgate raised over £200 which will go towards helping to pay the salary of one of the teachers at Crossroads Secondary School in Soroti, Uganda.
There are 323 pupils on role at the school at present. The teachers are busy meeting the deadlines of UNEB (Uganda National Examination Board) school-based assessments on: CAs (Continuous Assessments), AOIs (Activities of Integrations) and Project Work.

It’s here! Pastor Abraham has kindly acquired and sent us the recipe the students used in their baking lessons at Crossroads Secondary School.
The pupils at Crossroads Secondary School have been using their sewing skills to make reusable sanitary pads. The lack of affordable sanitary products is a very common challenge and can lead to school absenteeism, a key barrier to academic performance, and can even lead to school dropout!
Lillian is the Director of Studies at Crossroads Secondary School. Lillian has been teaching at the school since 2007, teaching Geography and Religious Education.
Peter has sent us a heartfelt thank you message. Peter has been sponsored by supporters of Global Challenge to continue his studies into the senior 5 and 6 years in education in Uganda.
The beginning of March 2024, saw the celebration of International Women’s Day. The theme of the day was “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”.
