“With Thanks” and “With Gratitude”

Two inspiring works by author Jeanne Hammond.

We are so lucky to have the support of a local author, Jeanne Hammond, who is donating two of her works to Global Challenge.
Jeanne was born in December 1933. She inherited her mother’s qualities of good imagination and being clever with her hands. In earlier work, Jeanne has written about her childhood traumas, the bombing of the second World War and how she became a Christian at fourteen.
For a donation, we are delighted to be able to offer two of her books: “With Thanks” and “With Gratitude” with any money you kindly donate going to Global Challenge!
In her book “With thanks” she writes about how she spent her adult years dedicated to children. In doing so, her characteristic faith and fortitude shines through giving us an insight into her life. Jeanne writes in the forward to this book “I hope that, in my writing, I’ve been able to capture enough of the joys and pain to make interesting reading. Perhaps something in these pages will help you in your life, or help you to understand our friends with mental handicap a little better.”

About her next book “With Gratitude” Jeanne writes “If I am going to write another book,  maybe I should get started. The years are passing so quickly and are full of such interesting things to do, that I hardly have the time to commit to such a task. However, my computing skills need some serious attention and this could help.”

If you would like to donate to Global Challenge and receive a copy of Jeanne’s books, they are available at the reception desk of our HQ at Queens Road Baptist Church in Broadstairs. Please message us via our Contact Us page if you are unable to collect but would still like a copy.
