Redressing the Balance

Tailoring in 2021

When trustee Chris and Dr Rev Stephen visited Soroti in 2017/18, they were impressed by the work in the tailoring department of Crossroads School.

Now, three years on, the dust and heat have got to the machines, originally funded with the help of pupils of Holy Trininty School in Broadstairs, and the machines are in need of repair.

Our project co ordinator, Abraham Okurut, highlights the problem in this short video:

Help is on its way, however, as one of our volunteers/supporters in the UK has offered to make summer bunting to sell to raise the £230 needed to repair the sewing machines (this includes £48 labour costs). Scraps of fabric gratefully received…contact us via our “Contact Us” page!
